This is a Direct Hire role and can be located anywhere in the United State with preference given to EST and CST time zones.
We’re looking for a visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our technology strategy and execution for our client's eCommerce platform. In this role, you’ll align our digital infrastructure with business goals, drive platform innovation, and ensure a secure, scalable tech environment that enhances both internal operations and customer experience—especially across our online auction ecosystem.
This is more than an IT leadership role—it's about transforming technology into a strategic growth engine for the business.
Your Impact
Set the cCommerce Technology Vision: Develop and implement a forward-thinking IT strategy that supports business objectives and fuels innovation.
Lead Platform Performance: Oversee our auction platform’s infrastructure, ensuring high performance, uptime, security, and seamless user experiences.
Drive Digital Innovation: Introduce and implement emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and blockchain to keep us ahead of the curve.
Champion Cybersecurity & Compliance: Lead security initiatives to safeguard data and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Scale Infrastructure: Manage cloud environments, networks, servers, and databases for optimal scalability, speed, and reliability.
Streamline Systems: Oversee system integrations and process automations that enhance internal workflows and operational efficiency.
Inspire High-Performing Teams: Build and mentor a best-in-class IT team. Provide clear direction, foster innovation, and ensure successful project delivery.
Manage Partnerships: Collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement for third-party tools and services.
What You Bring
Experience: 10+ years in senior IT leadership roles, in eCommerce, auctions, or digital marketplaces for SaaS, PaaS or other pay per click platforms.
Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus).
Technical Depth: Expertise in cloud computing, cybersecurity, data systems, and scalable digital platforms.
Business Savvy: Strategic mindset with a strong track record of aligning technology with business goals.
Innovation Focused: Proven ability to lead transformation and leverage new technologies for growth and efficiency.
People Leadership: Strong communicator and mentor who builds trusted teams and leads with vision and clarity.
