Job Title: Embedded Systems Cybersecurity Engineering Manager
Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Cybersecurity Engineering Manager to lead our embedded systems security efforts. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 standards, managing threat models, and supporting cross-functional engineering teams in developing secure system architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain threat models aligned with ISO/SAE 21434 standards.
•Assess and communicate cybersecurity relevance across products and platforms.
•Identify critical cybersecurity assets and potential damage scenarios.
•Conduct Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA).
•Define cybersecurity goals, technical controls, and system-level requirements.
•Create and present cybersecurity documentation and evidence for internal and external stakeholders.
•Support engineering teams during product development by analyzing system architectures and aligning requirements with cybersecurity best practices.
•Lead the creation and maintenance of cybersecurity requirement specifications and ensure traceability across systems, software, dev-ops, and other relevant domains.
•Collaborate with verification and validation teams to review security requirements and support the development of test cases.
•Act as a liaison between engineering disciplines and product stakeholders to drive effective cybersecurity decisions throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
•5+ years of proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
•5+ years of hands-on experience in systems/software engineering with a strong focus on cybersecurity, particularly in TARA methodology.
•Solid background in threat modeling within the automotive or embedded systems industry.
•Strong experience in authoring cybersecurity controls and technical requirements.
•Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
•Proficiency with tools like JIRA and DOORS; familiarity with embedded software systems.
•Excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical mindset, and a keen attention to detail.
•Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced development environment.
•Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent international degree) in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
