Position: System Cybersecurity Engineer
Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week) | Contract-to-Hire
As a Cybersecurity Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the security of advanced systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain threat models compliant with ISO/SAE 21434 standards
•Determine, document, and communicate cybersecurity relevance
•Identify key cybersecurity assets and potential damage scenarios
•Perform threat analysis and risk assessments (TARA)
•Define cybersecurity goals, controls, and system-level requirements
•Provide cybersecurity documentation and evidence to support audits and assessments
•Collaborate with engineering launch teams throughout the development cycle
•Evaluate system architectures and requirements from a cybersecurity perspective
•Create and manage cybersecurity requirement specifications and traceability
•Partner with verification and validation teams to support test case development
•Lead and facilitate cybersecurity discussions across cross-functional teams
Required Skills & Experience:
•5+ years in systems/software engineering with a strong cybersecurity focus
•Hands-on experience conducting threat analysis and risk assessments (TARA)
•Expertise in developing ISO/SAE 21434-compliant threat models
•Proven background in automotive cybersecurity, including threat modeling
•Skilled in writing cybersecurity requirements and controls
•In-depth understanding of current cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies
•Experience with tools such as JIRA and DOORS
•Familiarity with embedded systems and software development environments
•Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent
