Trust Officer
Job Overview: Our client, in banking, is seeking to add a NEW Trust Officer to their team. Trust Advisor to manage and grow relationships with clients possessing more than $5 million in investable assets. This individual will collaborate with the Private Banking team to identify, implement, and deliver fiduciary solutions that align with clients’ estate and wealth planning objectives. As a trusted advisor, you will play a critical role in fostering deep client relationships, managing complex estate planning matters, and coordinating efforts among internal teams and external advisors.
This is a Direct Hire role.
Serve as the primary fiduciary contact for 50–75 high-net-worth households, overseeing approximately 250–300 accounts.
Administer fiduciary accounts with trust assets typically exceeding $1 million, in strict accordance with governing documents and fiduciary standards.
Ensure compliance with all fiduciary regulations, policies, and internal governance protocols.
Collaborate closely with Private Bank colleagues to deliver comprehensive, advice-based solutions tailored to clients’ estate planning needs.
Cultivate relationships with local centers of influence, including attorneys and CPAs, to uncover current and future opportunities for fiduciary appointments (e.g., Trustee, Successor Trustee, Executor).
Lead due diligence for all new fiduciary appointments and assess opportunities for growth in fiduciary and investment management services.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of estate planning, trust and tax laws, and state-specific fiduciary regulations.
Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making in handling complex fiduciary matters.
Uphold a strong culture of risk management by adhering to all policies and procedures and proactively identifying and addressing risk factors.
Bachelor’s degree required; JD, MBA, or other relevant graduate degree preferred.
CTFA designation or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of fiduciary client service or sales experience.
Deep expertise in trust administration, estate planning strategies, and income and estate tax issues.
Proven ability to build and maintain high-touch client relationships with a service-oriented mindset.
