Assurance Senior
Job Overview: The Assurance Senior plays a pivotal role in executing diverse auditing assignments under the guidance of supervisors and managers. This position involves effective planning, supervision, and execution of audits, reviews, and compilation engagements, while ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the assurance staff's workpapers.
This is a Direct Hire role.
What you will be doing as a Assurance Senior …- Utilize audit-specific software and technology tools efficiently.
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in financial reporting standards relevant to assigned areas, including US GAAP, FRF for SMEs, and Modified Cash Basis.
- Apply technical skills in accordance with US Generally Accepted Auditing Standards and Statements for Accounting and Review Services.
- Plan and implement various project management concepts and departmental policies.
- Assist in proposal development and gather necessary research as required.
- Identify opportunities for additional services within existing and prospective client bases.
- Monitor engagement budgets and prepare timely, accurate engagement status reports.
- Collaborate with the tax department to ensure efficient processing and completion of tax files.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of client businesses to enhance service delivery.
- Foster strong client relationships and ensure high-quality service.
- Conduct risk assessments and perform appropriate audit procedures with a focus on quality control.
- Maintain knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditors’ International Professional Practices Framework (Internal Assurance Only).
- Commit to continuous quality improvement and stay current with emerging technologies and software.
- Uphold and promote all company policies and procedures.
Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Assurance Senior …- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is required, along with two or more years of relevant audit experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Teammate, Suralink, and Pfx engagement software.
- Actively pursuing a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or other relevant certifications.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in applying mathematical concepts such as percentages and ratios.
- Capable of understanding and following detailed written or verbal instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage concrete variables.
