Business Development Director

Job Overview: Our transportation client is seeking to add a new Business Development Director to their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating strategic plans to attract new customers, enhance relationships, and boost revenue and profitability. This position will be focused on their dedicated service offering.

This is a Direct Hire role.

• Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through effective prospecting and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with the solution design team, relationship managers, and service offering owners to develop tailored client solutions.
• Lead and prepare contract negotiations for new business opportunities.
• Conduct follow-ups on lead generation through sales calls.
• Validate deals and maintain ongoing interactions with customers.
• Ensure timely account management and effective utilization of CRM systems.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  
• Minimum of six years of sales experience
  
• Experience working in the transportation industry, specifically with dedicated assets
  
• Proven prospecting skills with a book of business focused in dedicated
  
• Strong financial management abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time
