Accounting Manager

Job Overview: Our CPA and advisory client located in Hiawatha, IA is seeking to add a new Accounting Manager to their team. The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of accounting professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, a proven track record of leadership, and a passion for delivering high-quality accounting services to clients.

This is a Direct Hire role.

What you will be doing as a Accounting Manager…

• Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful project completion and professional development
• Supervise and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulatory standards, and adherence to best practices
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and providing strategic financial guidance
• Oversee the preparation of accounting services and other financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to clients
• Collaborate with partners and senior management to develop strategies for business growth and client acquisition
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes in accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices

Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Accounting Manager…

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred
  
• Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience with some being public accounting
  
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks
  
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  
• Ability to solve complex problems
