Maintenance Technician
Located in Inkster, MI
About the Role
The Plant Maintenance Tech performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on plant buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems: Plant Maintenance workers handle repairs that require basic skills as an electrician, carpenter, plumber, mechanic: painter, HVAC technician and roofer. Services of a licensed professional will be requested when required.
Duties:

Perform minor and major repair to all buildings

Perform minor and major repairs to machinery and equipment in an industrial environment

Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required

Follow all company rules and policies

Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task

Follow all safety rules and quality standards

Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Abilities and Skills:

Ability to operate equipment used in skilled trades, both power and hand tools

Ability to work under time constraints

Ability to adapt to changing work priorities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Willingness to use Personal Protective Equipment required for Plant Maintenance Tech

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently

Willing to work in excess of 40 hours a week
Education/Experience:
-
2 years plant maintenance experience required
- 1 year weld machine (Miller) repair experience required
- 1 year Hi-Lo repair experience required
Shift:
1st Shift:
7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday
(OT on Saturday's - MUST BE OPEN TO 10 HOUR SHIFTS)
Pay:
$25.00 - Low/Mid $30.00's per hour (based on interview & experience)
