Strategic Staffing Solutions International's customer is an international company providing financial and legal services to Fortune 500 clients across the glove.

You will be working in a cross-functional team, using agile methodologies to build cloud native applications for the financial services industry. We are looking for true team players who can work beyond their specialty to help the team deliver. Every team member is responsible for the quality of the product and should be willing to work on any tasks needed, be it front-end, back end, test automation, deployment automation, etc. The successful candidate will use their experience and talent to help drive the delivery of the system, introduce new tech and guide the evolution of our applications.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and maintenance of cloud solutions for financial and regulatory reporting, Governance Risk Compliance, and internal management reporting
• Assist in implementing data integrations using APIs, connectors, and file-based interfaces
• Contribute to the automation of reporting processes (e.g., statutory, regulatory, board, and management reports) to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
• Contribute to solution documentation, templates, and reusable assets to support the broader team
• Design and develop API, and serverless components using Python
• Design and develop database objects to be used for data persistence
• Testing: Design and implement unit, integration, systems, performance and load testing
• Communicate progress, issues, and risks clearly to team leads and relevant stakeholders

 About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience with software engineering experience
• 4+ years of experience with Python, PyTest
• 3+ years of experience with ReactJS, Fast API
• 3+ years of experience in developing queries and database objects with RDBMS
• 3+ years of experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda
• Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance development efficiency and problem-solving capabilities
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks, Testing and Debugging, Code Introspection and Advanced Data Structures
• Solid understanding of Microservices architecture, Concurrency, Parallelism, Memory Management, Design Patterns and Functional programming
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, CFN is an asset
• Design and develop solutions using Python and integrate with code repositories
• Leverage AWS services such as Lambda/SNS/SQS/S3/Step functions to develop solutions
• Experience in PostgreSQL and JSON processing is an asset
• Experience working on Agile teams
• Solid understanding and demonstrated proficiency with core software development processes - debugging, code tuning, code management and branching, coding styles and refactoring.
• Must be self-motivated and driven, with strong analytical, problem solving, and both verbal and written communication skills.
• A basic understanding of financial reporting concepts (e.g., general ledger, consolidations, disclosures) or risk and controls frameworks is an advantage
