SENIOR ACCOUNTANT FOR R2R SWEDEN

Strategic Staffing Solutions International's client is a global Canada-based convenience store and fuel retail brand and Fortune 500 company with over 100,000 employees worldwide, serving more than 6 million customers daily. The company operates in all 50 US states, across all Canadian provinces, and in several European countries.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Ensure accurate and timely complex accounting and reporting in accordance with Group deadlines and guidelines for Business unit results on monthly, quarterly and year end basis;
• Manage operational issues, resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities faced in accounting and reporting area;
• Quality review of other employee work;
• Ensure close dialogue with Business unit and various stakeholders in Europe and North America;
• Ensure compliance of internal controls in accordance with the Group’s guidelines;
• Have a deep understanding of retail industry from accounting/reporting angle;
• Participate in challenging improvement projects in accounting/reporting area.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• University degree in economics, finance, accounting, mathematics or similar;
• Accounting specialization is preferred;
• Solid experience in accounting or audit field, preferably within an international work environment;
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process;
• Fluent English language skills (oral and writing), to communicate with colleagues in Europe and America;
• Strong analytical and accounting skills;
• Strong process analytical skills and process improvement capabilities;
• Ability to work in a changing environment;
• Good computer skills and general accounting system background (Oracle JDE and Longview is an advantage).
