Strategic Staffing Solutions International's client is a global Canada-based convenience store and fuel retail brand and Fortune 500 company with over 100,000 employees worldwide, serving more than 6 million customers daily. The company operates in all 50 US states, across all Canadian provinces, and in several European countries.

What you'll do:

• Record and report company fixed assets (such as equipment, buildings, and machinery) accurately and on time according to company deadlines for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting.
• Investigate and resolve accounting errors or discrepancies related to fixed assets for the assigned business unit.
• Work closely with technical teams and project leaders to track and account for capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects.
• Ensure all accounting activities follow internal controls and company guidelines.
• Support the Fixed Assets Team Lead in coordinating daily team tasks and helping the team achieve its goals.
• Maintain and update documentation, procedures, and work instructions related to fixed assets accounting.
• Participate in projects aimed at improving fixed assets accounting and reporting processes.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing and training initiatives within the team.

What you'll need:

• University degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• Relevant work experience in accounting, at least 2 years, preferably within an international work environment.
• Fluent English language skills to communicate with business units and colleagues in Europe.
• Goal-oriented, proactive, with a high level of responsibility.
• Ability to work in a changing environment.
• Good computer skills and general accounting system background (SAP, Oracle JDE and Longview is an advantage).
