Job Description
Strategic Staffing Solutions client is looking for a Senior Operations Engineer for an FSRU-based LNG import terminal in Wilhelmshaven. This role involves leading the planning and coordination of operations and maintenance activities at the terminal.Key responsibilities include planning preventive & corrective maintenance activities and coordinating third-party contractors and service providers. The Senior Operations Engineer works closely with the technical and HSE teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable terminal operations.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and manage weekly and monthly work schedules for the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities across all facility systems and equipment
- Coordinate third-party service providers and contractors, including scope definition, procurement processes, permit-to-work issuance, supervision, and performance evaluation
- Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards during all maintenance and service activities
- Maintain and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking work orders, asset status, and maintenance history
- Technical document review, preparation and periodic renewal of procedures
- Day-to-day operational reporting of O&M and HSE KPI’s
QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATES AND EXPERIENCE
- Technical degree in engineering or other technical- oriented discipline (mechanical engineering, electrical & automation, marine, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience in operations and/or maintenance roles within an industrial facility, including planning and coordination responsibilities
- Fluency (B2 or higher) in English and German
- Driver’s license
