Ready to roll up your sleeves and build something from the ground up? If you’re passionate about sustainability and tired of maintaining what’s already been built — this is your chance to create real impact from day one.
Strategic Staffing Solutions International is supporting a global Fortune 500 client in the pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics sector in hiring an Environmental Sustainability Specialist. This is a newly created role with a clear mission: translate enterprise-wide environmental goals into local, actionable progress — and help shape what sustainability looks like for this organization moving forward.
What’s in it for you?
Start from scratch: You'll be the first sustainability hire in the region — the go-to person to drive initiatives, set structure, and coordinate with stakeholders across the globe.
Own the execution: This role is 80–90% operational — not just strategy, but actual delivery of emission reduction, decarbonization, waste management, and environmental reporting projects.
Visibility & impact: You’ll report directly to the US-based Director of Environmental Sustainability and serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, including the country manager and global ESG teams.
Hybrid flexibility: Based in Vilnius, with 2–3 days/week in the office and up to 10% business travel.
For a perfect match, you need:
2–5 years of hands-on experience in environmental sustainability
Experience working with GHG Protocol and carbon accounting
Strong project management skills — you know how to turn direction into action
Comfortable working independently and engaging with global stakeholders
Excellent communication skills — able to simplify the complex and influence others
A background in Environmental Science or Sustainability is a plus, but hands-on experience and initiative matter most.
Your Key Focus Areas:
Implement global environmental programs across operations, with a strong focus on Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions
Develop and execute a decarbonization roadmap, including supplier engagement
Lead GHG inventory management, sustainability data analytics, and environmental reporting
Support integration of sustainability KPIs and tools across functions
Act as local subject-matter expert for global reporting frameworks (CDP, GRI, SASB, TCFD)
Our offer:
The opportunity to work and gain experience in a leading company
Annual bonus - based on annual gross salary;
Life insurance from day 1 and a best-in-class health insurance package
Referral bonus scheme
Boundless learning opportunities including language training and global employee assistance program
Up to 6 fully paid benefit days per year
Wonderful office in Quadrum (Vilnius, Konstitucijos Ave.) equipped with everything you need for a small break at work and fresh snacks at all time
Hybrid working model (2-3 days in office) and flexible working hours
Salary: up to €4,330 gross
