Job Description
Strategic Staffing Solutions’s International client - a frontrunner in sustainable technologies, end-to-end solutions and services for the minerals processing, aggregates, metals refining and recycling industries globally - is seeking new team members.
Areas of responsibilities:
- Ensure that assigned tasks are performed efficiently and professionally.
- Process and monitor misc. transactions and ensure that all entries are recorded, supportive documents attached, etc.
- Perform verification and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Participate and perform assigned tasks in period-close procedures.
- Participate in the preparation of legal compliance processes (including but not limited to VAT, corporate tax, internal/external audits, WTH, and statistical reporting).
- Perform internal controls within own area.
- Perform assigned asset accounting processes (calculate depreciation and be able to account for additions, disposals, misc.)
- Collect data from internal/external authorities, partners, etc.
- Review deliverables prepared by junior members of the team.
- Handle inquiries and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Participate and support improvement projects and change implementation.
- Participate and assist on projects in the accounting area or on related topics, new ERP systems and tools implementation, misc.
- Timely and accurately document service-related business knowledge (including but not limited to the knowledge base, DTPs, and process maps)
- Support teamwork, collaboration, and consistency across all sites and functions
- Keep positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Train and educate new and existing accounting specialists, in cooperation with the direct manager
Skills and requirements:
- +2 years of relevant experience.
- Higher education in Accounting, Economics, or a similar field.
- SAP, other accounting software, or database experience.
- Good Accounting processes understanding.
- Customer service mindset and solution-oriented, problem-solving skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills and prior experience in a cross-cultural organization.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Advanced written and oral English language skills are required, other languages such as Finnish, Swedish, Spanish, German, and French would be an advantage.
