Securities Operations Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Securities Operations Analyst to support trade processing, cash movements, client servicing, and operational risk management. This role partners closely with counterparties, client service teams, and Treasury Operations to ensure accurate and timely transaction settlement while identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce operational risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process securities trades and associated cash movements in coordination with counterparties and client service teams.
  • Research and resolve client inquiries and daily operational issues.
  • Investigate exceptions and discrepancies within internal books and records, identify resolutions, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Partner with Treasury Operations to support cash settlement, resolve client funding issues, and minimize the impact of large transfers on firm funding projections.
  • Monitor transaction activity and ensure processing deadlines and control requirements are consistently met.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements that reduce risk, manual effort, and repetitive tasks.
  • Work with clients and internal stakeholders to improve operational processes and service outcomes.
  • Manage smaller projects and initiatives while influencing stakeholders and implementing change in a collaborative environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong risk and controls mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and processing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
  • Ability to manage small projects and influence stakeholders in a consensus-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis.
  • Experience with VBA, Excel macros, or Outlook macros is a plus but not required.
