Senior Agile Couch/Scrum Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC; Hybrid
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Position Summary
The Senior Agilist / Agile Coach enables effective, predictable delivery across the CSAI portfolio by coaching teams and leaders on Agile practices, portfolio planning, and execution health. This role focuses on scaling consistent ways of working across multiple teams and initiatives, strengthening alignment between strategy, discovery, and delivery, and advancing Agile maturity beyond team level execution.
This position operates at the portfolio and program level, partnering closely with Product, Technology, and Delivery leaders to improve outcomes, flow, and visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach product, delivery, and technology leaders and teams to strengthen Agile execution across multiple teams and initiatives.
- Enable effective PI Planning, dependency management, risk identification, and delivery alignment across the CSAI portfolio.
- Support consistent Agile practices, tooling, and metrics (e.g., predictability, cycle time, throughput).
- Facilitate Agile events, workshops, and targeted coaching engagements (e.g., road mapping, backlog refinement, retrospectives).
- Improve backlog quality, prioritization, and flow in partnership with Product Owners and Product Managers.
- Increase executive and stakeholder visibility through actionable insights, dashboards, and delivery health reporting.
- Identify and escalate systemic impediments, risks, and cross team dependencies.
- Promote a culture of servant leadership, continuous improvement, and learning aligned with CSAI standards and values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Agile delivery, coaching, or enablement roles.
- Demonstrated experience coaching multiple teams and leaders in complex, matrixed environments.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and scaled delivery concepts.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving as a portfolio Agilist, Agile Coach, or program level coach.
- Experience supporting product centric, data, analytics, or technology organizations.
- Agile coaching certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SPC, ICP ACC/ATF).
