Position Overview
Seeking an experienced ServiceNow Specialty Software Engineer to support enterprise IT Asset Management initiatives with a strong focus on Service Catalog development, workflow automation, integrations, and AI-assisted platform capabilities.
This role requires a highly technical engineer with deep hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, Agile delivery, automated testing, API integrations, and modern AI-assisted engineering practices. The ideal candidate will help design, develop, and enhance scalable ServiceNow solutions while partnering closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop ServiceNow Service Catalog solutions including:
- Catalog items
- UI forms
- Workflows
- Integrations
- Build and maintain scalable ServiceNow applications using scripting, business rules, and application development best practices
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including:
- Sprint planning
- Daily standups
- Reviews
- Retrospectives
- Implement features based on user stories and acceptance criteria
- Perform unit testing and support end-to-end SDLC activities including development, testing, deployment, and release management
- Manage update sets and coordinate code promotion across environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement fixes
- Collaborate with engineering teams during technical reviews and developer discussions
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis
- Ensure AI usage aligns with enterprise security, compliance, privacy, and ethical standards
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of overall software engineering or ServiceNow development experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
- Strong expertise with:
- ServiceNow Service Catalog
- Business Rules
- Scripting
- Application Development
- Experience working with Yokohama version or newer
- Experience with:
- ServiceNow ATF scripting
- Automated testing tools
- REST APIs
- JSON integrations
