Lead GenAI & Data Engineer – Job Description

We are seeking a Lead GenAI & Data Engineer to design and develop enterprise-grade Agentic AI solutions that automate and enhance business processes across the organization. This role will focus on building intelligent AI agents using Google ADK, LangChain, and LangGraph while leveraging strong Python and advanced SQL expertise to integrate enterprise data systems and scalable AI workflows.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing AI agents, integrating large language models (LLMs), and building robust data engineering pipelines within enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Agentic AI solutions using Google ADK, LangChain, and LangGraph
- Build enterprise AI agents capable of observing and automating human workflows and business processes
- Develop scalable Python-based backend services, AI pipelines, and orchestration workflows
- Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems using APIs, databases, streaming platforms, and data pipelines
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines supporting structured and unstructured enterprise data
- Write and optimize advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool integrations, memory handling, and structured outputs
- Collaborate with Process Excellence, Operations, and Engineering teams to develop AI copilots and intelligent automation solutions
- Ensure production-grade engineering practices including testing, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, observability, and error handling
- Support AI governance, security, compliance, and performance optimization initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in AI Engineering, GenAI, Data Engineering, or Agentic AI development
- Strong hands-on experience building AI agents and orchestration workflows
- Advanced Python development skills
- Advanced SQL expertise including query optimization, complex joins, window functions, and stored procedures
- Hands-on experience with Google ADK and Agentic AI frameworks
- Experience with LangChain and/or LangGraph
- Experience building enterprise-grade ETL/ELT and data integration pipelines
- Strong understanding of RAG architectures and enterprise LLM integrations
- Experience integrating APIs, databases, files, streams, and enterprise systems of record (SoRs)
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and scalable application development
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, Airflow, dbt, BigQuery, or Snowflake
- Familiarity with vector databases and hybrid retrieval architectures
- Experience implementing LLMOps, AI observability, evaluation frameworks, and prompt management
- Knowledge of enterprise AI governance, security controls, and PII handling
- Experience implementing guardrails and safety controls for AI agents
