Senior Project Manager
Remote (U.S.)
Contract: ~7 Months (May 2026 – Dec 2026)
Rate: $66-$80\hr
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Program Manager to lead complex, enterprise-level initiatives within a financial services environment, with a strong focus on retirement and wealth management programs.
This is a hands-on role requiring a seasoned professional who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, drive execution, and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex projects and programs ($2M–$15M+)
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for project planning, execution, and delivery
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and reporting
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders across multiple teams
- Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints; implement mitigation strategies
- Drive project governance, status reporting, and executive-level communications
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Support organizational change management and readiness activities
- Contribute to and follow established delivery methodologies, standards, and tools
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of project/program management experience
- Strong experience within retirement services, wealth management, insurance, or financial services
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
- Experience managing project budgets typically ranging from $2M to $15M+
- Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Planview, Clarity, or similar project portfolio management (PPM) tools
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Experience working with organizations such as:
- Retirement services providers
- Insurance and financial institutions
- Strong understanding of enterprise program delivery frameworks
