Renewable Energy Support Specialist

Location: Brandon, FL
Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: $20-$25/hr

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to support renewable energy programs. This role plays a key part in processing renewable energy applications and supporting customers participating in solar and energy efficiency programs.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, email-driven environment, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure applications are reviewed, approved, and completed accurately and on time.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage renewable energy program applications from submission through completion
  • Review, analyze, and approve applications using internal systems, including the Energy Efficiency Collaboration Platform (EECP)
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, solar installers, and internal program teams
  • Process net metering applications across multiple customer rate classes
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely meter installations and program compliance
  • Respond to customer and contractor inquiries via email, providing clear and timely resolutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues related to solar and battery storage programs
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all applications meet program guidelines and timelines

Required Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to learn and navigate new systems and platforms quickly
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, email-based environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Energy Efficiency Collaboration Platform (EECP)
  • Background in energy, utilities, or renewable programs
  • Experience processing applications or working in a customer support or operations role
