Technology Infrastructure Engineer – Physical Security Systems

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technology Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain enterprise-class physical security systems across a large, distributed environment. This role focuses on video surveillance, alarm monitoring systems, and IP-based network infrastructure supporting security technologies.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with enterprise surveillance platforms, IP networking (VLANs, ACLs), and field installation of security hardware. This position requires both technical depth and the ability to collaborate across geographically distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and enhance enterprise-level physical security monitoring and surveillance systems

• Install and configure IP cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and alarm panel hardware

• Evaluate and pilot new surveillance and monitoring technologies within a large enterprise environment

• Configure and troubleshoot IP-based networking components including VLANs, VLAN routing, ACLs, and switch configurations

• Support 802.1x certificate-based authentication and PoE power configurations

• Ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance with enterprise security standards

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience (or equivalent combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education)

• 3+ years of experience with video surveillance and security alarm systems

• 3+ years of experience with IP-based network implementations including VLANs, VLAN routing, and Access Control Lists (ACLs)

• 1+ year of hands-on field installation experience with IP cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and alarm panels

• 1+ year of experience evaluating and pilot testing physical security technologies in a large, distributed enterprise environment

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working in a geographically distributed or virtual team environment

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Experience with Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies

• Experience with Hanwha and Arecont IP camera solutions

• Experience with Verint surveillance systems including OpCenter, VidCenter, and Edge VMS

• Experience with Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) solutions including Virtual Receivers and Entre

• Experience with Honeywell Mastermind alarm monitoring software

• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking including VLANs, ACLs, 802.1x authentication, switch configuration, and PoE
