Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Management Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert supporting complex data initiatives across enterprise finance environments. This role will focus on advanced metadata analysis, data quality controls, lineage development, and automation of data management processes.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise combined with strategic thinking, enabling them to influence large-scale data solutions, mitigate risk, and support leadership with innovative recommendations.

This position will immediately assume ownership of high-impact, in-flight initiatives and requires the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an expert consultant on highly complex data management initiatives spanning multiple business and technical domains.
• Lead metadata harvesting, lineage development, and root cause analysis for data defects.
• Design and implement automation solutions to enhance data management controls using Python, SQL, and APIs.
• Evaluate existing processes and recommend long-term, scalable improvements aligned with enterprise data strategy.
• Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance to senior stakeholders on data governance and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technology, analytics, finance, and risk teams to resolve complex data challenges.
• Influence enterprise data practices through vision, innovation, and advanced analytical thinking.
• Ensure strong adherence to data risk and control frameworks.
• Engage with internal personnel to drive adoption of data management best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management, or equivalent demonstrated through professional experience, consulting, military service, or education.
• Advanced experience performing complex data analysis in enterprise environments.
• Strong technical proficiency in SQL, including complex query development.
• Hands-on experience with Python for automation, scripting, and data processing.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or comparable relational databases.
• Demonstrated ability to redesign processes and implement automation solutions.
• Solid understanding of data risk, governance, and controls.
