IT Technical Architect (SCADA / OT)

Location: Tampa, FL 
Duration: 6 months
Salary: 110k to 130k/ann

We’re seeking a senior-level IT Technical Architect to lead the design and modernization of SCADA and Operational Technology (OT) systems supporting natural gas operations.

What you’ll do:

• Own the end-to-end architecture for SCADA, Gas Distribution, and Meter Measurement systems

• Design high-availability, secure OT solutions (RTUs, HMIs, PLCs, industrial networks)

• Lead system integrations and modernization initiatives

• Partner with IT, operations, and vendors to deliver reliable, compliant solutions

• Develop technical roadmaps and architectural standards

What we’re looking for:

• 8+ years in OT/SCADA architecture or engineering

• 10+ years working with SCADA, PLCs, industrial protocols (Modbus), and OT networks

• Strong experience with high-availability and cybersecurity (ISA/IEC 62443)

• Solid database skills (SQL, data modeling)

• Utility or natural gas industry experience preferred

• AVEVA SCADA experience a plus
