UAT Coordinator / Business Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC
Employment Type: Full-time/W2 Contract Only

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented UAT Coordinator / Business Analyst to support user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance activities for IT projects. This role focuses on bridging business needs with technology delivery by creating comprehensive test documentation, writing clear requirements and user stories (preferably in Gherkin format), coordinating and executing UAT, and ensuring systems meet regulatory, operational, and risk standards before deployment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manages shifting priorities effectively, and excels in collaboration with technology teams, business stakeholders, and end-users.


Minimum Qualifications / Experience

  • Proven experience creating test case documentation and executing user acceptance / regression testing.
  • Strong experience writing user stories and requirements, preferably in Gherkin format, with a focus on acceptance criteria suitable for test automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while effectively balancing and adapting to multiple changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Jira (for issue/defect tracking, user stories, and agile workflows) and Confluence (for documentation and collaboration).
  • Solid understanding of UAT processes, including coordination, execution, defect management, and stakeholder sign-off.
  • Experience partnering with technology teams to validate integrations (e.g., APIs, data flows, end-to-end processes).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in regulated industries (e.g., finance, energy, healthcare) where compliance, risk, and operational alignment are critical.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools or frameworks that leverage Gherkin/Cucumber.
  • Previous experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of SDLC processes and quality assurance best practices.
