Project Manager (Intermediate) – Digital UX & Content

Location: Onsite – San Antonio, TX
Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time (as applicable)

Job Summary

The Intermediate Project Manager manages multiple interrelated projects and orchestrates outcomes to achieve broader program objectives. This role plans, executes, and monitors initiatives from inception through delivery, with a strong focus on user experience (UX), digital content, and member/customer communications. The Project Manager partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to improve clarity, engagement, and effectiveness of digital messaging while managing timelines, risks, budgets, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate multiple projects aligned to a broader program roadmap and goals

  • Plan, implement, and monitor schedules from project inception through delivery

  • Define, track, and report project roadmap, status, risks, dependencies, and success metrics

  • Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve cost, performance, quality, and delivery timelines

  • Build, manage, and track project budgets

  • Facilitate communication and coordination across cross-functional project teams

  • Manage stakeholder engagement, alignment, and satisfaction

  • Maintain awareness of business conditions, industry trends, and internal processes impacting project outcomes

Team-Specific Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Senior Project Manager to lead enhancements to high-impact, call-driving message templates, improving clarity, UX, and call-to-action effectiveness

  • Oversee transformation of online document notifications, incorporating personalized and actionable UX and content strategies

  • Contribute to comprehensive customer/member journey mapping by providing UX and content-focused insights and recommendations

  • Collaborate with product partners, designers, and content experts to update digital messaging and document standards

  • Support measurement and reporting of UX and content effectiveness, including comprehension, engagement, and satisfaction metrics

Daily Duties & Technology Usage

  • Use Figma and Box to develop, refine, and collaborate on message templates and user journey visualizations

  • Leverage Jira Workflow Management (JWM) to manage tasks, update statuses, track progress, and participate in daily stand-ups

  • Partner with CMS teams to manage and validate content within approved templates

  • Collaborate closely with UX designers, content strategists, product managers, and stakeholders

  • Utilize analytics tools (where applicable) to assess user interaction with content and inform enhancements

  • Use Microsoft tools for documentation, communication, and reporting

Required Skills & Experience

  • Project Coordination & Execution: 4+ years supporting project managers on digital projects, including task tracking, progress monitoring, and quality assurance

  • UX Design & Content Strategy: 5+ years creating user-centered digital content, including messaging, notifications, and journey mapping

  • Digital Content Optimization & Personalization: 5+ years optimizing content for clarity, engagement, conversion, and personalization, including A/B testing

  • Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to translate complex user needs into actionable UX and content recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services or a highly regulated industry

  • Portfolio showcasing UX and digital content work related to messaging or digital communications
