Job Title: PLANNER ESTIMATOR

Location: APOLLO BEACH, FL

Duration: 12 MONTHS 

Planner Estimator supports planning, estimating, and scheduling contractor work in a heavy industrial environment. This role operates with limited supervision and exercises independent judgment in developing work packages, managing schedules, and coordinating with supervisors and contractors. Ideal candidates typically have prior industrial or commercial trade experience and have progressed into planning, estimating, or project coordination roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope, plan, and estimate contractor work in accordance with ES-CM-100 and company safety, environmental, and permit requirements.

  • Develop and maintain complete work packages, including permits, procedures, job aides, and PM attachments.

  • Build, maintain, and monitor Primavera P6 schedules for maintenance, outages, and projects.

  • Maintain daily and weekly contractor schedules and communicate plan changes to stakeholders.

  • Monitor overtime usage and identify opportunities to improve productivity.

  • Ensure work orders are properly closed and follow-up actions completed.

  • Review and approve invoices for planned work within authorization limits.

  • Provide guidance and support to Planning Associates.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years as Planner Estimator I OR 6+ years of planning/scheduling experience in a heavy industrial facility

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance and outage planning best practices

  • Experience developing and managing contractor work packages

  • Proficient with work management systems for planning and scheduling

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (spreadsheets, pivot tables; macros preferred)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree in Business, Engineering, Construction, or related field

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project

  • Working knowledge of CPM scheduling methods

  • Prior industrial trade or military background
