Job Title: Procurement Category Specialist
Location: Tampa, FL 33592
Onsite Work: (4) days per week, one (1) day remote (Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM) Occasional travel to company sites and supplier locations as required

Position Overview
The Procurement Category Specialist provides analytical and administrative support for category management and sourcing activities. This role assists with preparing sourcing events, analyzing supplier proposals, maintaining procurement data, and supporting supplier relationships. The position works closely with category managers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant, and data-driven procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret spend data, supplier performance metrics, and market trends
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and analytical summaries to support category strategies
- Assist in drafting RFQs, RFPs, and bid packages
- Maintain contract records and support contract amendments and documentation updates
- Support day-to-day communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Verify supplier compliance and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Identify opportunities to streamline procurement data management and reporting processes
- Escalate complex issues to Category Specialists or Category Managers as appropriate

Qualifications
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Preferred: Not specified
Certifications
- Preferred: CPSM, CIPS, or actively working toward a professional procurement certification
Experience
- Required: Minimum of three (3) years of procurement or supply chain experience
- Preferred: Experience using eSourcing tools
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred: Basic understanding of procurement regulations and contract terms
