Program Manager – Utilities (SAP / Salesforce) – Large-Scale Transformation

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager (Program Manager III) to lead a major enterprise program to replace our existing SAP Work Manager platform, used daily by 3,000–4,000 frontline workers across our service territory. Work Manager will retire at the end of 2026, and the organization has selected a new product and engaged a Systems Integrator (SI) to deliver the solution.

This role will serve as the primary point of contact between the utility and the SI, driving program direction, execution, risk mitigation, and alignment across IT, business teams, and vendor partners. The ideal candidate brings utility industry experience, direct work with frontline field-worker technologies, and a strong background in managing large, multi-year technology transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-year, enterprise-wide program to replace SAP Work Manager with a next-generation field workforce technology platform and experience working with front line workers
  • Serve as the central liaisonbetween the company, Systems Integrator, and solution vendor.
  • Oversee and coordinate multiple complex workstreams, ensuring alignment with business needs, timelines, and budget.
  • Manage program plans, RAID logs, governance structures, and cross-functional communication.
  • Drive vendors and internal teams to hit milestones; escalate risks and issues promptly.
  • Partner closely with IT, field operations, and business stakeholders supporting 3k–4k field workers.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and status updates with senior leaders and operational teams.
  • Ensure readiness for deployment, cutovers, testing cycles, change management, and field adoption.
  • Lead a blended team of ~20 SI consultants, ~20 internal matrixed IT resources, and a large group of business stakeholders
  • Collaborate daily with the Systems Integrator on program execution.
  • Conduct risk assessments, manage dependencies, and maintain program artifacts.
  • Coordinate between CST and MST teams; respond to deployment issues if needed.
  • Engage regularly with frontline operations to ensure solution fit and adoption readiness.
  • Prepare executive-level updates for leadership and steering committees.

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of experience in Program Management leading large, enterprise-level technology programs.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing multi-workstream programs with significant business impact.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with both technical and frontline operational teams.
  • Experience delivering tools or technology platforms directly used by frontline field workers.
  • Prior experience in the utility or energy sector.
  • Strong vendor, SI, and stakeholder management capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing or replacing SAPSalesforce, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Background in large-system modernization or field mobility solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, though extensive experience strongly valued.

Work Environment & Logistics

  • Hybrid schedule: Onsite Tuesday–Thursday.
  • Travel to service centers (approx. 25%, flexible).
  • Team is split between CST and MST time zones.
  • Standard work hours; occasional flexibility needed around product deployments.

Hiring Timeline

  • Interviews targeted for late December.
  • Desired start date: Mid–Januaryto participate in program kickoff.
