Overview
The Securities Settlements team within Global Markets Operations (GMO) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to support settlements across the Americas region. This role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and client-service skills, along with the ability to identify risks and contribute to continuous process improvements.
You will work with business units, clients, and internal control groups to ensure accurate, timely, and risk-mitigated settlement of securities transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage end-to-end settlement processes across multiple asset classes.
- Partner with front office, middle office, legal, compliance, and external counterparties throughout the trade lifecycle.
- Review and validate asset transfers to ensure seamless client experience.
- Ensure all transaction details are accurately captured and reconciled.
- Identify control gaps and propose enhancements to reduce operational and settlement risk.
- Contribute to process optimization initiatives to strengthen efficiency and client service.
- Uphold high standards of execution, accuracy, and communication in all interactions.
- Maintain adherence to operational controls, risk protocols, and firm policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of product knowledge.
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team orientation and ability to perform under pressure.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in asset transfers within the financial industry.
- Prior work in securities post-trade operations, specifically Securities Settlements in the Americas.
