We are seeking a Translation Technology Lead to join the team within the Chief Operating Office. This role serves as the technical cornerstone of our localization efforts, leading the translation technology operations and ensuring process efficiency, quality, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in translation and localization platforms such as Wordfast, Trados Studio, SDLX, TMS, or WorldServer, with the ability to configure tools, optimize workflows, and provide technical leadership across a matrixed organization.
Provide day-to-day technical support for translation and localization systems and tools.
Develop and maintain custom workflows, filters, and scripts to improve automation and translation consistency.
Support production validation and UAT for new translation features or system integrations.
Troubleshoot and resolve production or tool-related issues in coordination with Technology partners.
Manage integration, migration, and enhancement projects for translation tools and platforms.
Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of translation operations.
Oversee access requests, certification tracking, and security compliance for translation systems.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Technology, Model Risk, Product Owners, Risk Management) to ensure alignment and compliance.
Support business continuity planning, records management, and audit readiness.
Conduct research and analysis on emerging translation technologies and operational best practices.
4+ years of experience in the translation/localization industry with deep technical expertise.
2+ years in management consulting, business operations, or technology execution.
Hands-on experience with Translation Management Systems (TMS) such as SDL TMS, WorldServer, or Trados Studio.
Proficiency with translation and terminology tools (e.g., SDLX, MultiTerm, Wordfast).
Familiarity with computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and terminology management systems.
Strong understanding of localization workflows, automation, and integration between translation platforms.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong presentation, organization, and project management abilities.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills.
Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Professional, collaborative, and adaptable in complex, matrixed environments.
Experience working with internal clients and external vendors on technical translation initiatives.
Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and related content management tools.
Must be able to work hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 remote).
Ability to collaborate across multiple time zones and departments.
Occasional extended hours during peak production cycles.
