Project Manager – Transmission
Location: Minneapolis (preferred) or Denver. Hybrid schedule
Duration: 12+ months
Start: October 1, 2025
Pay Rate: $80-85/hour

Position Summary: 

This Project Manager will be accountable to the Program Manager of the EMS Upgrade project, providing support for various project-level responsibilities related to the project schedule, resource management, dependency management, etc. This project will upgrade the existing Transmission SCADA solution, GE’s PowerOn Reliance, migrating for the R2019 version to the R2025 version.  A 27-month timeline has been established to complete the upgrade and deploy to three separate regional data centers to support 13 separate control centers and approximately 300-350 end users. 

Skill Set Requirements: 

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, including demonstrated experience with complex, multi-year system implementations that require close management of the critical path
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to accommodate various management styles and meet work leaders where they are with their project management skills
• Ability to follow task planning and status conversations for software lifecycle work and various specialized work such as hardware build and regulatory compliance
• Ability to visually represent information for consumption by a broad audience
• Demonstrated excellence with MS Project, MS Excel, and SharePoint document storage and use of Lists/Calendars

Preferred:

• Utility or energy industry experience greatly preferred
• Experience with real-time, Operational Technology solutions within a 24x7 setting (Electric Transmission or Distribution SCADA, Outage Management)
