Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-driven UAT Data Tester with an actuarial or analytics background to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for large, complex datasets across Excel, PostgreSQL, and Hadoop platforms. The role involves identifying defects, validating data transformations, and ensuring alignment with Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) to maintain accuracy, consistency, and integrity of business-critical data before production release.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct UAT testing on large structured and unstructured datasets sourced from Excel, PostgreSQL, Hadoop/Hive.

· Review and validate data mapping, transformations, and calculations against BRD specifications.

· Identify, document, and communicate defects, discrepancies, and data quality issues between expected and actual results.

· Collaborate with actuarial, analytics, and data engineering teams to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and validate fixes.

· Ensure testing covers regression scenarios and edge cases across datasets.

· Develop and maintain UAT test plans, test scripts, and traceability matrices linking BRDs to test outcomes.

· Provide sign-off on UAT results, confirming alignment with business requirements and actuarial accuracy standards.

· Partner with stakeholders to support data governance and compliance efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 2-3 years of experience in UAT testing, data validation, or QA with large datasets.

· Strong experience with SQL for data validation and reconciliation.

· Proficiency in Excel for actuarial/analytics dataset testing.

· Proven ability to map test cases and defect identification directly to BRDs.

· Strong understanding of actuarial models, analytics workflows, and data-driven decision-making.

· Experience with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps).

· Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
