Job Title: Portfolio Project Manager
Location: Downtown Tampa, FL (Onsite 3 days per week)
Pay: 70-80/hr W2
Job Type: Contract 24 Months
Job Summary:
We are seeking a polished and professional IT Program Manager to oversee enterprise-scale programs with multiple projects and workstreams. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage customer-facing applications, vendor relationships, and executive reporting. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully managing complex, large-scale programs and delivering results in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Program Strategy and Planning:
- Program Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement IT program strategies aligned with organizational goals. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Create comprehensive project plans and schedules.
- Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion. Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements, allocate resources, and establish project timelines. Monitor project progress and address any issues or risks that may arise.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead cross-functional teams, including IT developers, engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Resource Management: Manage IT program budgets, resources, and expenses. Ensure efficient utilization of resources and optimize project costs. Track and report on project financials.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables. Implement best practices to ensure project quality and compliance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project updates, status reports, and key milestones to stakeholders, executives, and project sponsors. Manage expectations and ensure alignment between IT initiatives and business objectives.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and third-party service providers. Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor performance. Ensure vendor deliverables meet project requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to measure project performance and customer satisfaction.
- Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Enterprise Program Manager for large-scale IT initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage programs involving at least 4 project managers.
- Experience with customer-facing, web-based application projects.
- Skilled in managing multiple workstreams and vendor relationships.
- Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) and Smartsheet.
- Exceptional communication skills and experience delivering updates to executive leadership.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Local to Tampa, FL, with the ability to work onsite 3 days per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Agile, Project Management (e.g., PMP, SAFe), or related fields.
