Senior Director of People Operations

Position Summary

Hiring Immediately:

We are seeking a Senior Director of People Operations to serve as a strategic and operational leader responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing the full employee experience across a rapidly growing organization.

This role will oversee all core HR functions, including People Operations, HR Business Partnership, Employee Relations, Compliance, Compensation, Benefits, and People Systems, while partnering closely with Talent Acquisition, Leadership, and other internal stakeholders to support significant organizational growth over the next 24 months.

The successful candidate will help architect the systems, structure, and culture needed to support a business experiencing rapid expansion, ensuring growth is intentional, operationally sound, and centered around an exceptional employee experience.

This position serves as the senior-most People Operations leader, with full ownership of HR strategy, infrastructure, and execution across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

People Operations Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute a scalable People Operations strategy aligned with aggressive organizational growth goals.
  • Build and enhance HR infrastructure, policies, systems, and workflows to support rapid headcount expansion.
  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and long-term people strategy.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives related to company growth, structure, and operational effectiveness.

HR Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive and senior leadership on organizational effectiveness, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing People Operations team.
  • Drive consistency and operational excellence across multiple locations and departments.

Employee Experience

  • Own the employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding.
  • Design and implement programs that improve engagement, retention, development, and overall employee satisfaction.
  • Partner with internal teams to reinforce company culture and employee well-being.

Performance Management & Talent Development

  • Refine and manage performance management systems aligned with company objectives.
  • Support organizational planning and career development initiatives.
  • Drive accountability, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify and develop high-potential talent.

Compensation, Benefits & Compliance

  • Lead compensation strategy and market benchmarking.
  • Oversee benefits strategy to ensure competitive and valuable employee offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain HR policies and employment practices that support organizational growth while minimizing risk.

HR Systems & Analytics

  • Own HRIS strategy and people analytics.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting for key HR metrics including:
    • Retention
    • Employee engagement
    • Performance
    • Organizational health
    • Workforce trends
  • Utilize data to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of progressive Human Resources or People Operations experience.
  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience managing HR or People Operations teams.
  • Experience within high-growth, multi-location organizations strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success helping organizations scale from approximately 300–500 employees to 1,000+ employees.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing HR teams.

    • Performance Management
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategy with organizational growth objectives.
  • Experience supporting multi-state operations is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Total Compensation OTE $175,000
  • Competitive salary ranging from 120,000 - 140,000 commensurate with experience, plus bonuses
