Fleet & Field Operations Manager (Home Services Fleet)

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per year
Our client has retained us to hire a Fleet & Field Operations Manager to own performance of an internal fleet supporting residential field operations. This is a service fleet — vans and light/medium duty trucks used by technicians in the field.This role is focused on vehicle uptime, maintenance discipline, cost control, and supporting daily job execution. This is not a CDL / Class A trucking environment.
Manage daily fleet operations including vehicle utilization, deployment, and uptime
Oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and extend vehicle life
Ensure compliance with DOT, local, state, and federal transportation regulations
Track and report on fleet KPIs including fuel usage, maintenance costs, and telematics data
Develop and manage fleet budgets, cost controls, and reporting
Oversee vehicle lifecycle including acquisition, replacement, and disposal
Implement and maintain fleet safety programs and training initiatives
Partner with regional leadership to support field operations and scheduling needs
Manage accident investigations, insurance claims, and corrective actions
Coordinate with vendors including leasing companies, maintenance providers, and fuel partners
5+ years of fleet management or transportation operations experience
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet compliance requirements
Experience with fleet management software and telematics systems
Experience with Wheels Fleet Management or similar platforms preferred
Proven experience managing budgets and controlling operating costs
Experience working cross-functionally with operations or regional leadership teams
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Total Compensation - $80,000 – $100,000
