Position Overview
The Assistant Sales Director is responsible for sales performance in the Philadelphia market. This role requires leading a team, driving accountability, and executing growth strategies. The position blends leadership with hands-on execution to ensure consistent revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and manage a team of sales representatives including closers, lead generators, and hybrid roles
Ensure accountability for daily sales activity and conversion metrics
Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management within the CRM
Implement sales strategies to grow market share and revenue
Monitor competitor activity, customer needs, and market trends to identify opportunities
Ensure team members follow the company’s sales process from lead to close
Work with the Sales Director to provide performance insights and recommend adjustments
Partner with the sales team to improve sales cycle times
Recruit, train, and retain top talent within the market
Lead onboarding, ramp-up, and training for new hires
Address performance issues with coaching and development plans
Hold self and team accountable to results through KPIs, reviews, and feedback
Measures of Success
Consistent achievement of monthly and quarterly revenue goals
Productivity of the sales team including activity levels and revenue per rep
Accuracy of pipeline and CRM data
Retention and development of sales representatives
Qualifications
5 or more years of sales leadership experience in roofing, solar, home improvement, or similar industries
Experience managing large teams of W2 and/or 1099 sales representatives
Knowledge of canvassing, insurance restoration, or high-volume sales processes
Proven track record of driving sales growth in competitive markets
Strong leadership skills with high emotional intelligence
Compensation and Benefits
Total compensation between $125,000 and $175,000 annually including $70,000 guaranteed base salary and performance incentives
