Job Title: Prep Cook

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Prep Cook to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes for our culinary operations, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities: - Perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients for cooking. - Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces. - Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. - Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash. - Follow the guidance of the Head Chef or Sous Chef and collaborate with the rest of the kitchen team. - Adhere to all relevant nutrition and sanitation guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience as a prep cook or in a similar role. - Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen. - Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils. - A team player with good communication skills. - Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure. - High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school or training is a plus.
