Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional culinary skills, and a passion for creating high-quality dishes. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to manage kitchen operations, ensure food quality and consistency, and mentor kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and supervision of kitchen staff - Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following established recipes and standards - Ensure consistency in food presentation and quality - Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment - Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to achieve high performance - Monitor and enforce health and safety standards - Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials - Manage kitchen staff schedules and assignments
