Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contract Event Helper to assist with the planning and execution of various events in Charlottesville, VA. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for creating memorable experiences. This role involves collaborating with event coordinators, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless event operations.

Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the setup, breakdown, and overall management of events. - Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of services. - Provide on-site support during events, including guest assistance and problem resolution. - Help manage event logistics such as registration, seating arrangements, and equipment setup. - Maintain inventory of event supplies and materials. - Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations during events. - Perform other duties as assigned by the event coordinator.

Qualifications: - Strong organizational and multitasking skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software. - Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and evenings. - Ability to lift and carry event materials and equipment.

Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of local venues and vendors in Charlottesville, VA. - Customer service experience. - Creative problem-solving abilities.
