Job Title: Line Cook

Location: 3520 W Cary St, Richmond, VA 23221, United States

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Line Cook to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing food to the chef’s exact specifications, setting up stations for menu items, and assisting the kitchen team in ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly. The Line Cook must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards for food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and standards set by the head chef. - Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies. - Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion. - Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. - Assist with stocking and ordering of kitchen supplies as needed. - Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications: - Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Ability to work as part of a team. - Culinary school diploma preferred but not required. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand for long periods. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
