RCS Staffing has an immediate need for an Administrative Assistant in Huntersville, NC. This is a full-time contract-to-hire Office Based assignment with our client (Monday through Friday, on-site). This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.
Overview of YOUR role as an Administrative Assistant
As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide general office administrative support with a professional demeanor and positive attitude. This position will be responsible for a variety of clerical and administrative activities and tasks for our client's Huntersville, NC office, as well as supporting managers, employees, and visitors through a variety of task-related activities related to organization, communication, and coordination.
As an Administrative Assistant YOU will:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for office inquiries, visitors, and communications
· Manage general correspondence, including phone calls and mail distribution
· Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments
· Manage and maintain office/kitchen supply inventory, place orders, verify receipt, and manage vendor relationships
· Coordinate facility requests, maintenance needs, and workspace organization
· Assist with onboarding activities such as workspace setup, equipment coordination, and orientation schedule and materials
· Assist with any events in Huntersville, including room setup, ordering lunch, and performing additional tasks as needed
· Support department initiatives, special assignments, and continuous improvement activities
· Provide backup support to other administrative or project coordination roles during peak workloads or absences
· Perform additional duties and special projects or ad hoc tasks assigned by your manager or leadership
· Assist with other clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing (electronic/physical), collating, binding reports, mailing/shipping, and receiving
YOU are the ideal Administrative Assistant candidate if you have:
· High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
· 2+ years of relevant administrative experience
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities
· Professional, positive attitude with ability to maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision
· Ability to accept direction on given assignments
· Able to work collectively with the administrative team associates
· Regular attendance and punctuality
It's a BONUS if you have:
· Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
· Previous experience in a corporate office environment
· Event coordination experience
· Vendor management experience
