Job Description

RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Janitorial Worker in Byron, IL. This is a short-term contract Plant Site assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive package.

Overview of YOUR role as a Janitorial Worker

As a Janitorial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. This role requires a dependable individual who takes pride in their work and can perform routine cleaning tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

As a Janitorial Worker YOU will:

· Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility
· Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
· Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
· Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and equipment
· Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
· Restock restroom supplies and cleaning materials
· Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to supervisor
· Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly
· Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
· Perform other cleaning duties as assigned

YOU are the ideal Janitorial Worker candidate if you have:

· Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
· Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
· Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
· Good communication skills

It's a BONUS if you have:

· Previous janitorial or custodial experience
· Experience in industrial or commercial cleaning environments
· Knowledge of safety procedures and proper chemical handling
