RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Civil Structural Engineer in Lynchburg, VA or Charlotte, NC. This is a full-time Office Based assignment with our client (open to direct-hire or contract). This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as a Civil Structural Engineer

As a Civil Structural Engineer, you will perform structural steel and concrete analysis for civil structural work in the nuclear industry. This role requires strong proficiency in ANSYS software and expertise in applying ACI 318 and ACI 349 standards. You will work in a collaborative team setting with no travel expected.

As a Civil Structural Engineer YOU will:

· Perform structural steel analysis for nuclear industry projects using ANSYS software
· Conduct concrete analysis in accordance with ACI 318 and ACI 349 standards
· Utilize ANSYS software for structural modeling and analysis
· Perform civil structural work for nuclear industry applications
· Develop engineering calculations and technical documentation
· Review and interpret structural drawings and specifications
· Ensure compliance with industry codes and nuclear standards
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
· Support project delivery from design through completion

YOU are the ideal Civil Structural Engineer candidate if you have:

· 3-5 years of structural engineering experience
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
· Strong proficiency with ANSYS software for structural analysis (required)
· Strong knowledge of structural steel analysis
· Experience with concrete analysis using ACI 318 and ACI 349 codes
· Ability to work effectively in a team setting
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Attention to detail and commitment to quality
· Excellent communication and technical documentation skills

It's a BONUS if you have:

· PE (Professional Engineer) license
· Experience in the nuclear industry
· Knowledge of nuclear industry codes and standards
· Experience with other structural analysis software
· FE/EIT certification
