RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Project Manager in Atlanta, GA. This is a full-time direct-hire Remote assignment with our client (must be located in or around Atlanta, GA). This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays. Travel up to 10-20% required.

Overview of YOUR role as a Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you will lead a natural gas utility engineering team, spearheading projects and shaping strategy while mentoring engineers and interfacing directly with utility clients. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be actively involved in scheduling, quality control, client relationships, and design reviews for natural gas distribution and transmission projects. With a small team and 4-6 direct reports, you will drive project delivery excellence and help expand our client's footprint in the southeast region. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth, networking with diverse clients, and gaining rapid exposure across the industry.

As a Project Manager YOU will:

· Lead and manage multiple natural gas distribution and transmission projects from start to finish
· Spearhead project strategy and planning while managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables
· Review engineering projects before delivery to utility clients to ensure quality and compliance
· Serve as primary client interface, managing relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
· Provide hands-on oversight of design work and technical reviews
· Mentor and develop an engineering team of 5-6 direct reports
· Manage project budgets and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
· Oversee distribution, transmission, and high-pressure pipeline projects
· Drive business growth and expansion in the southeast region
· Travel occasionally (10-20%) to meet with clients and team members
· Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive solutions
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications

YOU are the ideal Project Manager candidate if you have:

· 5-10 years of leadership experience in natural gas distribution design
· Engineering degree from an ABET accredited institution
· Experience with engineering consulting firms or natural gas utilities
· Proven track record managing distribution and transmission projects
· Strong client-facing and relationship management skills
· Hands-on approach to project management with technical review capabilities
· Experience managing budgets, schedules, and project quality
· Leadership experience with direct reports and team mentorship
· Knowledge of natural gas distribution and transmission systems
· High-pressure pipeline project experience
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment

It's a BONUS if you have:

· PE (Professional Engineer) license
· PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
· Established relationships with utility clients in the southeast region
· Experience driving business development and growth initiatives
· Previous experience expanding service territories or market presence
