RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Water/Wastewater Pipeline and Pump Station Senior Engineer / Project Manager in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time, hybrid direct-hire assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive compensation package including benefits, vacation, and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as a Water/Wastewater Pipeline and Pump Station Senior Engineer / Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Pipeline and Pump Station Senior Engineer / Project Manager to provide leadership in maintaining their market presence and assisting their existing team to grow their water market capabilities. In this role, you will lead, deliver, and manage projects through all phases — from study and design to construction — focusing on water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, stormwater pump stations, large-diameter pipelines, and utility work.

As a Water/Wastewater Pipeline and Pump Station Senior Engineer / Project Manager YOU will:

· Develop detailed designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for pipelines, pump stations, and water/wastewater conveyance systems
· Lead the planning, evaluation, and design of potable water and wastewater conveyance projects, serving as a design or technical lead
· Manage projects from initiation to close-out, ensuring completion within time and budget constraints
· Coordinate and direct single or multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle
· Serve as primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and providing project updates
· Conduct quality control reviews, implement QA/QC procedures, and ensure project excellence
· Track project financials and adjust work efforts to ensure schedule and budget compliance
· Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD disciplines to deliver cohesive project outcomes
· Participate in professional organizations, prepare technical presentations, and support marketing initiatives
· Mentor junior staff and support team growth and development

YOU are the ideal Water/Wastewater Pipeline and Pump Station Senior Engineer / Project Manager candidate if you have:

· Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
· Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering
· Professional Engineer (PE) license
· Strong network of water/wastewater professionals and contacts in the region
· Regional and technical expertise in the design of water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, and large/small diameter pipelines
· Excellent verbal, technical writing, and organizational skills
· Proven ability to manage projects and lead design teams
· Active participation in professional organizations such as AWWA and WEF

It’s a BONUS if you have:

· Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
· Experience in asset management, risk and resiliency consulting, or smart water system design and implementation
· Strong understanding of applicable industry standards, laws, policies, and procedures
· Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
· Experience developing marketing plans, proposals, and staffing plans
