Job Description
RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Senior Construction Inspector in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full time, direct hire, onsite assignment with our client.Overview of YOUR role as a Senior Construction Inspector
Our Client is looking for a seasoned Senior Construction Inspector. You’ll play a vital role in the inspection and oversight of water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout Southern California. This role is ideal for an experienced inspector with a strong background in pipelines, microtunneling, pump stations, and treatment plant construction.
As a Senior Construction Inspector YOU will:
• Provide inspection support for the construction of pipelines, microtunneling, bore and jack, treatment plants, facilities, and pump stations
• Perform technical and administrative tasks involving contract compliance, quality control, and quality assurance
• Review project documents and ensure construction activities meet all specifications and standards
• Maintain thorough documentation including daily/weekly progress reports, material tracking, and record drawings
• Monitor contractors’ adherence to the Quality Control Plan and approved submittals
• Evaluate tests, inspections, and construction methods as required
• Make recommendations for improvements to field quality control procedures
• Assist with development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and training materials
YOU are the ideal Senior Construction Inspector candidate if you have:
• 10-15 years of experience in pipeline/microtunneling inspection and construction oversight
• Experience with documenting contractor performance and installations
• Familiarity with ANSI, ACI, AWS, and other applicable codes and standards
• A valid California State driver’s license
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
It’s a BONUS if you have:
• 3-5 years of experience inspecting water/wastewater treatment projects involving microfiltration and reverse osmosis
• An AA degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• Experience with Primavera, Suretrack, or MS Project
• Certifications such as ACI, ICBO/ICC, AWS, OSHA, NICET, or City Deputy Inspector
