RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Director of Business Development – Power Generation in Remote, USA. This is a full time, direct hire, remote position with our client. 

Overview of YOUR role as a Director of Business Development – Power Generation

This role supports the strategic growth and client relationship development of the power generation division at our client. You will work closely with senior leadership and a dedicated Business Development Associate to drive new and existing business across the utility and power plant sector. This position involves full-cycle business development from prospecting and proposal development to client support and upselling, with a focus on engineering consulting services.

As a Director of Business Development – Power Generation YOU will:

• Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders to execute the firm’s strategic business development plan
• Develop annual business development budgets and prepare/present client proposals and RFP responses
• Oversee and monitor all business development activity for the Power Generation team
• Conduct bi-monthly business development meetings and align sales activities with operational goals
• Lead the development of marketing, sales, and advertising strategies
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
• Present services to clients and represent the firm at industry events
• Mentor and support a Business Development Associate transitioning from an engineering role
• Partner with operations and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

YOU are the ideal Director of Business Development candidate if you have:

• 8+ years (preferably 10+) working with Electric Utilities/Power Plants
• 8+ years (preferably 10+) in Sales/Business Development, particularly with engineering services
• Direct experience selling outages and consulting services to power plants
• A college degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing
• A strong network and industry contacts within the power generation space
• The ability and willingness to travel nationally 3 to 4 times per month (50-75%)

It’s a BONUS if you have:

• An Engineering degree
• Nuclear industry knowledge, contacts, or direct experience
