Job Description

RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full time, direct hire, hybrid position with our client. This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation, and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as a Senior Project Manager
In this role, you will lead and manage transportation projects for FDOT and local municipalities, driving business development and strategic growth within the Jacksonville transportation market. You will oversee project delivery, resource management, and team development while ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.

As a Senior Project Manager YOU will:

Actively lead pursuits in coordination with the Transportation team, Pond Leadership, and the Marketing team
Have Go/No-Go authority on pursuits for Operations in conjunction with the Marketing team
Assess strategic hires for better positioning in the pursuit phase
Engage with FDOT and other clients to develop and align service offerings to position the company as a leader in transportation design services
Manage day-to-day operations, including resource management and financial metrics for the Florida Transportation Practice
Direct staffing decisions and resource allocation for project budgets and timelines
Assess resource needs and effectiveness to meet current and future demands
Review and approve new hires
Provide training, mentoring, and professional development to direct reports
Function as a Senior Design Manager and/or Senior Project Manager as needed to secure opportunities and deliver technical results
Oversee and actively manage the roadway practice Quality Assurance Program
Support the Transportation practice in establishing the company as an industry-recognized technical expert

YOU are the ideal Senior Project Manager candidate if you have:

8+ years of experience delivering FDOT projects
Established PM relationships with FDOT and local North Florida municipalities
Experience in project and resource management
Strong business development background
Ability to mentor younger staff
Florida PE license (preferred)
