RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a I&E Designer. This is a full time. contract to hire, remote assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.
 
Overview of YOUR role as an I&E Designer

This role involves designing engineered pipeline facilities, focusing on instrumentation, controls, and electrical drawings. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in natural gas pipeline and pipeline facilities design, utilizing various drafting platforms such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and/or CADWorx. The drawings primarily relate to facility instrumentation and electrical components. The designer should have expertise in the installation of pressure and temperature transmitters, electrical terminations, cable and conduit drawings, and electrical grounding. The role also includes conducting design reviews for complex projects and overseeing the work of less experienced drafters and designers.
 
As a I&E Designer YOU will:

• Review and interpret flow computer panel diagrams and develop loop diagrams for instrument installations.
• Interpret P&IDs and independently generate instrument and electrical design drawings.
• Create installation details and diagrams for low-voltage alternating current (120 VAC) circuits and equipment.
• Modify drawings as instructed by engineers.
• Ensure all designs adhere to established processes, client specifications, and quality standards.
• Deliver completed and reviewed files within the set timeframe.
• Communicate effectively with project managers regarding technical queries, project timelines, and potential delays.
• Mentor and train less experienced drafters and designers.

YOU are the ideal I&E Designer candidate if you have: 

• Knowledge of electrical standards, including the National Electrical Code
• Understand construction practices related to conduit and cable installation and create detailed drawings.
• Ability to interpret and apply electrical standards for engineering and construction designs.
• Experience with the following tools/software:
  • AutoCAD
  • CADWorx
  • Plant 3D
• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in I&E design, ideally in transmission systems or similar sectors.
• Knowledge of design software like AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools for electrical system design.
• Deep understanding of electrical design principles, instrumentation, control systems, and transmission network operations.
• Relevant certifications in electrical or instrumentation design, safety regulations, and industry standards may be required.
