Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Calibration & Instrumentation

  • Perform internal calibration, verification, and validation of process instrumentation
  • Check and verify the operation and functionality of equipment, including:
    • Flowmeters
    • Load cells & scales
    • Pressure & temperature gauges
    • Humidity and mass flow meters
  • Operate industry-specific instrumentation and software (e.g., Oscilloscope, Field Metrology Well)
  • Provide support to vendors for external calibration activities

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Install and configure electrical instrumentation according to schematics
  • Repair and replace faulty or worn-out components
  • Assemble and install equipment for testing purposes
  • Diagnose and rectify instrumentation faults
  • Provide training to production teams on reading and understanding instrumentation

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process and system improvements
  • Analyze data to assist leadership in enhancing production efficiency
  • Collaborate with the UGP Manager and SSP Unit to implement improvements

Quality & Food Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all quality and food safety standards are implemented and maintained
  • Adhere to GMP, HACCP, and health & safety regulations
  • Support internal and external audits to maintain compliance

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of all calibration and maintenance activities
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, organized, and up to date

Qualifications & Skills

✔️ Education & Certification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Grade 12) required
  • Industrial Maintenance Electrician License (442A or 309A) preferred
  • Industrial Instrument Mechanic Certificate is an asset

✔️ Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience as an Electrician, Calibration Technician, or Instrumentation Technician
  • Strong background in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting

✔️ Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in calibration, installation, and repair of industrial instruments
  • Experience with SAP and MS Office (Word & Excel) is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

✔️ Other Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Capable of handling loads between 10-20 kg
